The snow scenes of the Forbidden City in Beijing has gone viral on the internet in recent days, which evokes our memories of beautiful snow scenes in Zhangjiajie.

Located in Zhangjiajie City, the hinterland of Wuling Mountains in northwestern Hunan Province, Wulingyuan is composed of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Suoxi Suoxi Valley, Tianzi Mountain, and Yangjiajie Scenic Area, with a total area of 398 square kilometers. Wulingyuan, known for its “marvelous peaks and clean waters", can be called a wonderland of nature, especially in winter.

The rime scenery was seen for the first time this year on Tianmen Mountain since Light Snow (one of the twenty-four solar terms in China) fell.

Tianmen Mountain is more than 1,500 meters above sea level, and the temperature at the top of the mountain is 6-8℃ lower than that of the urban area. From mid-to-late November to early March of the following year, it is the best time to enjoy the icy rime on the mountain.
