'Charming Xiangxi' received 900,000 tourists in 2020

Zhangjiajie Charming Xiangxi closes from January 20 to February 12 (the first day of the first lunar month). This large folk culture performance received 900,000 tourists from all over the country in 2020, accounting for nearly 60% of the previous year.




 
On April 30, 2020, Zhangjiajie Charming Xiangxi Grand Theater took the lead in resuming folklore performances on the premise of regular epidemic prevention and control, which was well received by tourists. During the Larbor Day and National Day holidays, the performances were staged every day with a record of four consecutive performances per day, which strongly promoted the tourism recovery in Zhangjiajie.




 
Charming Xiangxi, one of the main cultural tourism products of Wulingyuan District, Zhangjiajie city, has successively won the titles of National Cultural Industry Demonstration Base and “China’s well-known trademark”. Over the past 20 years, it has received 18 million tourists, appeared on CCTV Spring Festival Gala for 3 times and carried out national cultural exchanges for 5 times. In November 2020, Zhangjiajie Charming Xiangxi won the titles of “Top Ten Tourism Performing Arts Organizations in China” and “Box Office Champion of China Tourism Performances Independent Theaters” for the fourth consecutive year at the 2020 China Tourism Performing Arts Conference held in Xi’an.
