Recently, Zhangjiajie donated 1,000 protective suits to Luang Prabang of Laos.

Zhangjiajie and Luang Prabang have been carrying out exchanges and cooperation in many fields such as tourism, economic and trade since May 2017, which helped increase friendship. In March 2020, when Zhangjiajie was hit by the virus, Luang Prabang wrote to Zhangjiajie to express its condolences and donated cash to support the pandemic prevention and control. In November 2020, Zhangjiajie and Luang Prabang officially established sister city relationship.

Recently, as Luang Prabang was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, Wang Hongbin, Acting Mayor of Zhangjiajie, wrote to the Mayor of Luang Prabang to express his condolences and donated 1,000 protective suits on behalf of Zhangjiajie Municipal People’s Government. The medical supplies were delivered to Luang Prabang in the shortest time with the strong support of Mr. Song Jiefeng, a special representative for International Friendship Exchange in Hunan Province.

The mutual help between Zhangjiajie and Luang Prabang in difficulties proves the China-Laos community with a shared future, which also contributes to the friendship between the two countries.
