Mid-Autumn Festival train tickets on sale

Train tickets for the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday are on sale from September 5. There are some tips for passengers to travel during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
According to the General Office of the State Council, the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2021 will have three days off from September 19 to September 21. Passengers can purchase train tickets of Sept 19 (the first day of the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday) from Sept 5 through the 12306 website, 12306 APP and the ticket booking hotline (95105105). It’s better for passengers to make travel plans in advance to avoid the travel peak (the first day of the holiday).
No refund service fee is charged if the ticket is refunded more than 8 days (including) before the departure date. 5% of the ticket price is charged if the ticket is refunded more than 48hrs before the train departure. 10% is charged if less than 48hrs and more than 24hrs, and 20% is charged if less than 24hrs.
If the ticket is endorsed or if the destination station of the ticket is changed between 48 hours to 8 days before the train departure time, to another train scheduled to depart at least 8 days later, 5% refund fee shall be charged for the changed ticket even if the ticket is refunded at least 8 days before train departure. On September 1, the railway 12306.cn updated functions to make it more convenient for the elderly and disabled to buy train tickets online. At the same time, the new procedures on 12306 mobile app are also under test and will be put into operation in early September. In addition, the railway departments retain off-line channels for passengers to buy tickets by cash, enjoy manual services and make an appointment for the travel.
Recently, the State Council issued a document for the epidemic prevention and control. The professional staff are required to conduct overall disinfection for public transport like airplanes, trains and buses. In addition, the crowded public places such as supermarkets, shopping malls, hotels, airports, railway stations, long-distance passenger terminals need to be constantly disinfected to prevent transmission. Xiangjiang Happy City is offering half-price discounts for parents accompanying one kid under 1.5 meters (excluding 1.5 meters) if they get vaccinated and have green health codes until Sept 30 (limited seats every day). Tourists can also enjoy this discount with their teacher qualification certificates between September 10 to 12. Zhangjaijie City is offering half-price discounts until Sept 30 to tourists for all of its A-level scenic spots and transportation services in the area.
