Zhangjiajie-Jishou-Huaihua high-speed railway is about to be opened. On October 12, the cultural tourism promotion meeting with the theme “Taking the High-Speed Train to Enjoy Mysterious Xiangxi” was held in Changsha.
The Zhangjiajie-Jishou-Huaihua high-speed railway, starting from Zhangjiajie City in the north, stops at Furong Town Station, Guzhang Station, Jishou Station and Fenghuang Station in Xiangxi Prefecture, and borders Huaihua City in the south with a total length of 246.6 kilometers.
A number of famous scenic spots dot the rail line which is a golden travel route across the mountain area of western Hunan. It is also regarded as the “most beautiful high-speed railway” running across an area with profound history and beautiful landscapes.
The railway connects Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture with Zhengzhou, Xi'an, Chongqing, Wuhan, Zhangjiajie, Guilin and other tourist cities. It will take only half an hour from Zhangjiajie to Jishou, less than an hour to Fenghuang.
The meeting also promoted a travel card priced at 198 yuan, which provides annually free visits to 36 A-level scenic spots in Xiangxi with discounts on accommodation and catering services.
The opening of Zhangjiajie-Jishou-Huaihua high-speed railway has attracted the tourism enterprises and media. “All the travel agencies in Hunan are seeking for new products for domestic tourism. Xiangxi Cultural tourism itself is highlighted in the province and domestic tourism market. The railway has undoubtedly brought confidence to the industry,” said Jiang Yanni, CEO of Hunan overseas Tourism.
The Zhangjiajie-Jishou-Huaihua high-speed railway enables tourists from Changsha to have convenient access to Xiangxi for its beautiful scenery.
