Stewed grifola frondosa with cured beef

In spring, there is a precious mushroom called grifola frondosa growing in the mixed shrub forest in Siduping Township, Zhangjiajie City. Grifola frondose is rich in nutrition, which is an edible and medicinal mushroom.

It is a rare quality ingredient and the grifola frondosa stewed with cured beef has become a famous local dish.

Easily cooked, the dish is very tasty. The slices of cured beef are first fried in rapeseed oil with chopped garlic, dried chilli and green onion and then stewed with  spring waterfor an hour.
