Wulingyuan sees peak tourist flow

Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Scenic Area continued to see its tourists at the peak, with a cumulative total of 459,100 visitors in July, 100,000 more than the admissions (362,100 visitors) of the first half of 2022.

From January to June this year, Wulingyuan received a total of 1,803,800 tourists and its total tourism revenue reached 2.204 billion yuan. The number of visitors to Wulingyuan Scenic Area for one time from January to June was 362,100 and the number reached 821,200 as of July 31. Therefore, there were 459,100 visitors to Wulingyuan in July.

The figure has recovered remarkably to 93.64% for the same month last year and 84.18% for the period in 2019.

Since July, the number of people to Wulingyuan Scenic Area has been close to an average of 15,000 per day, and the number to the mountain has exceeded 20,000 per day. More than 30,000 visitors came to the scenic area on a single day for the last five days.

Since July, the number of visitors coming to scenic spots such as Tianzi Mountain Ropeway, Bailong Elevator, Ten-mile Gallery Sightseeing Tram, Charming Xiangxi and Huanglong Cave has continued to rise, and the occupancy rate of hotels and homestay inns has remained above 90%.

In order to ease the peak flow of visitors, Wulingyuan Scenic Area, on the basis of regular epidemic prevention and control, implemented a full reservation mechanism for all visitors who come to the scenic area for the first time from August 4. 

Visitors can make reservations in different times, and the staff will guide visitors orderly according to the reservation information and reasonably adjust the time of entry.
