Located in Luoguta Sub-district, Wulingyuan District, Zhangjiajie City, Zuixingu Villa is only 10 minutes’ drive from the scenic area.

As the homestay inn is built on the top of the mountain, tourists can enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the whole forest. The 17 guest rooms are not limited to a certain decoration style. They boast both the beauty of nature and the comfort of living.

Yang Jiayuan and his wife were born and bred in Wulingyuan. They had operated a travel agency in Zhangjiajie City for 23 years.

Seeing that their hometown has turned more beautiful and enchanting thanks to the implementation of the strategy of rural revitalization, the couple decided to return home. In just a few years, there has appeared 2 national key rural tourism villages and 12 provincial and municipal new rural demonstration villages in Wulingyuan with beautiful scenery.

At the beginning of 2019, Yang and his wife felt that it was the right time for them to open a homestay inn. After discussion, they determined to open a homestay inn to provide a differentiated tourism and living experience by virtue of unique location and natural landscape.

They chose the decoration style and furniture and designed the layout of the rooms all by themselves.

“We set the style of the homestay inn as simple and light luxury. Although the size of the homestay inn is not small when seen from the outside, it only has 17 rooms, which is also to ensure the comfort of each room to the greatest extent,” said Wu Juan, Yang’s wife.

Such activities as fishing, fruit picking, swimming in an open-air pool, farming in rice fields and reading in a book bar can be done in Zuixingu Villa, which will bring a great holiday experience.

In October this year, Zuixingu Villa was officially opened for business. The simple and bright decoration style, high-quality services, tasty meals as well as picturesque natural scenery attracted many guests.

Against the background of COVID-19 pandemic, their business was affected to some extent, but Yang and his wife were not worried about this. The couple said they were “busy and happy” every day. They have not only realized self value but also contributed to the development of tourism in their hometown. They also provide jobs for 32 local villagers.

In recent years, relying on the development of tourism, Wulingyuan has made efforts to develop rural areas into scenic areas through integration of tourism and agriculture. Investors and residents have been encouraged to build homestay inns by making use of the newly built and renovated old houses. A number of investors have joined the homestay industry and created characteristic brands.
